WHO WE ARE
The Global Migration and Health Initiative (GloMHI) is an independent collective of academics, students, practitioners, and advocates. We are committed to informed and critical action to promote social justice and health equity. We focus on human migration, as a global determinant of health, from multiple perspectives. We see our diverse migrant, ethno-cultural, socio-economic, disciplinary, gender and sexual identities as a source of strength. OUR VISION
Health for all, regardless of birthplace. OUR MISSION
We aim to build a shared platform to give voice to a growing network of applied researchers committed to translate their work into informed advocacy. We want to draw attention to the limitations of the current debate on migration, too often hindered by clichés or traditional disciplinary approaches and boundaries, and offer a hybrid space, between academia and society, for the critical analysis of the complex intersections between migration and health. |
